SAFE PLACE SUPPORTERS

The Vermont Children's Alliance (VCA) is the state chapter that supports and advocates for all thirteen of Vermont's Child Advocacy Centers. The VCA provides training and education to CAC staff as well as the CAC's Multidisciplinary Teams.

In addition, the VCA advocates for CACs on a local, state, and federal level, to ensure that CACs have the funding, opportunities and recognition they need to deliver imperative services to Vermont's most vulnerable population: the children that report sexual abuse and physical violence.

Safe Place and other Vermont CACs also receive support, resources, and advocacy form the National Children's Alliance. The NCA produces standards for CACs to meet in order to provide the most effective services, based on research and best practice. Safe Place has been a Nationally Accredited Center since 2015 and was reaccredited in 2021. Safe Place will again pursue reaccreditation in 2026. Learn more!
